2015 Installation and Awards Banquet Winners
"Ready for Take Off, Soaring to New Heights!" was the theme for the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce 2015 Installation and Awards Banquet held on Friday, January 23, 2015. Sandy Ramirez, Moreno Valley Flower Box emceed the evening of recognition and awards.

were sworn in by California State Senator Richard D. Roth. Immediately following the swearing in ceremony 2014 Chair Rod Ballance, Bud's Tire Pros passed the official gavel to the 2015 Chair Dr. Sandra Mayo, Moreno Valley College.
The evening concluded with Oscar Valdepeña, President/CEO presenting the 2015 Citizen of the Year Award to Patricia Korzec, Executive Director of the March Field Air Museum. Patricia was selected by a committee which included past Citizen and Business of the Year award recipients. Patricia has worked both professionally and as a community volunteer to raise the profile of Moreno Valley in the local and national arenas.
|The Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce would like to remind employers that the deadline to provide tax filing documents like the Form W-2 or Form 1099 to employees and contractors is January 31, 2015. In order to meet the requirement, employers must make sure the form is properly addressed and mailed on or before the end of the month. Employers may submit requests for extensions of time to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Also, California employers who provide unemployment insurance must notify all employees that they may be eligible for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). This must be done within one week before or after the employer provides a Form W-2 or a Form 1099. For more information see these General Instructions for Forms W-2 and W-3 from the IRS.
