November 28, 2018 - The Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce announced its 2019 Citizen of the Year, Iddo Benzeevi, at its monthly Wake-Up Moreno Valley meeting, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Iddo will have the honor of being recognized on Friday, February 1, 2019, at the Chamber's Annual Installation and Awards Banquet.
Mr. Benzeevi has been conducting business in the City of Moreno Valley for over 30 years, lives on the border of Moreno Valley, in the County of Riverside, which the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors considers as a great sphere of influence for our City.
For the last four years, Highland Fairview, which Mr. Benzeevi serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer, has provided an annual turkey giveaway to families in need during the holidays.
Last year, the City of Moreno Valley recognized Mr. Benzeevi for having contributed approximately one million dollars ($1 million) to the local community through community groups, non-profits, and organizations. The list of over 115 community groups includes student and youth organizations, small business associations, service clubs and philanthropic organizations, local school districts, and the regional hospital.
Other contributions to the community include supporting local youth sports teams and the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts Five Nations District recognized Mr. Benzeevi as the Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizen in 2009.
